Are Rubber Hunting Boots Best?

When it comes to Whitetails, wearing rubber hunting boots are a great defense to prevent being detected.

Rubber is not as porous as leather and therefore will not hold and absorb odor like leather will. Rubber is also easy to clean.

The most important factor in cold weather, is keeping your feet warm. Sitting still for long hours will quickly make your feet cold, which in turn, makes for a miserable hunt.

The good news is, you can get rubber insulated boots, and the new brands on the market are very well insulated without creating extra bulk.

When buying a pair, you will need to remember that you will probably have on several layers of socks, so you may want to buy a size larger than you normally would.

If you prefer leather, these can always be sprayed with a scent cover up or blocker. The best hunting boots are the ones that are comfortable on your feet and will keep you in the woods!
