Broadhead Tuning
Some people say that broadhead tuning is not necessary for crossbow hunting.
However, we believe in covering all bases and live by the rule that it's the little things that count in accuracy and in harvesting of deer.
For tuning broadheads, we recommend using a broadhead without the blades.
For aluminum arrows, you can heat the end of the arrow, but make sure you do not scorch it!
To keep the flame from scorching the arrow, twirl it, as you heat all the way around it.
Once it is heated, screw in the non-bladed broadhead until tight, and twist before the glue sets up.
After getting it tight, twist it a hair, approximately the degree your blades were off, in order to line it up with the vanes.
If you use a broadhead with blades, use a broadhead wrench on it, as this may save you a trip to the emergency room!
Always check broadheads for proper alignment.

An easy way to tune broadheads is to buy small rubber O rings made for arrow tuning. Just slide it on the broadhead.
This will seat where the arrow and broadheads meet, and allow for adjustment due to compression.
Get it snug and the compression of the O ring will allow for some play, which will then allow for tuning it to the vanes on your arrow.
O rings are relatively cheap.
We got a package of 25 for a couple of dollars.
Whether or not you decide to tune your broadheads is a personal choice, but it is our belief that covering all corners is a good decision!
